What's Your New Years Resolution?

Today we are doing something a little different. We are making our New Years resolutions a couple days early. We want to get the ball rolling because 2017 is going to be a roller coaster of great things and why not make a list of goals to accomplish ahead of time? Check out our tips to help you create and stick to your New Years goals.   1. Write it down

Nothing is more important than writing down your short term and long term goals. Putting it in writing for you to see everyday is not only motivating, but it keeps you focused. Write down everything from the biggest to smallest detail and we promise that in a matter of time you will see those goals turn into a reality.

2. Don't just write it. Be about it!

Writing down your goals is the first step, but placing those words to actions is the second. Do a little bit of something everyday to put you closer toward your goals. It makes a big difference and we guarantee that you will feel so much better, more productive and accomplished.

3. Place your list somewhere visible

This is so important! Placing your list of goals somewhere you cannot avoid will consciously and unconsciously place those goals in your life everyday to where you are living and breathing it. 

4. Find the time to review your goals daily

Make it the first thing you see when you wake up and the last thing you see before you go to sleep. Get in the habit of repeating your goals back to yourself. This creates confidence in your ability to bring these things to fruition and gives you a sense of reassurance of yourself. Believing in yourself and your abilities is the foundation to your success. 

5. Visualize your goals and its rewards

Close your eyes and as you repeat your goals back to yourself. Visualize it! This is not only satisfying but it reaffirms step 4 and gets you excited for your future and whats to come. Imagining yourself where you want to be makes the process a lot easier and keeps the momentum going. Vision boards, imagining your goals and believing it will slowly bring these things to life!

6. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals

Have you ever heard of the saying you are what you eat? Well, you can say that who you hang around and where you are trying to go are very similar to this saying. Surrounding yourself around like-minded and goal oriented people will encourage you and influence you to stay focused. Where you lack the other person may be stronger and vice versa. This creates an on-going support system that will be there when you may be feeling doubtful or need some sense of encouragement.

7. Reward yourself

Yes you deserve it! Every time you hit a mark or reach a certain point don't forget to reward yourself! Don't be so hard on yourself. Take yourself out of your shoes for a second to see everything that you have accomplished thus far and how far you've come. Everyone deserves recognition, even if its just you giving it to yourself! Treat yourself!

8. Be patient

Remember everything takes time. Nothing happens overnight! Don't beat yourself up for what it seems like is taking forever, for the road bumps that may happen along the way or for missing the mark sometimes. It is okay! Trust us! Everything happens for a reason and the most successful and accomplished people in this world have gone and still go through the very things you may experience. Be patient with yourself and where you are in life. Your time is coming and is slowly unraveling as you take a step further each day!

9. Relax

Woosah! Relax and stay strong. Just as long as you are working towards the bigger picture, remember that there is nothing to feel bad about and everything to feel good about. You got this!
