The Icarus by Kamau, The Birth Of A Nation

The Icarus by Kamau, The Birth Of A Nation

The Birth of A Nation hits theaters today Friday October 7, 2016. It is a film documenting the story of Nat Turner and his brave rebellion and fight for liberty and justice in Southhampton County. This film documents important moments in history and is essential as it is not a typical movie about African Americans being enslaved, but highlights a time in history where slaves did not allow themselves to be victimized and fought for their right to equality.

The Birth of A Nation--both starring and directed by Nate Parker is a must see to learn about a different angle in history. We are excited to share with you The Icarus by our favorite artist KAMAU and co-produced by NO WYLD, a song featured in The Birth of A Nations Soundtrack.

“This beautifully eerie and grungy song illustrates the turning point from victim to liberator...
— KAMAU
and that power conceads nothing without demand.”
— Frederick Douglass

Be the first to buy your ticket to see and hear the turning points in history.
